Walah!
The Garin College Vinnies have almost completed their magnificent mosaic masterpieces. We hope to be able to put these up in the community early next term.

Filming
The Garin College Vinnies have been been busy working on their Inspiring Stories film which they have decided to base on the Vinnies involvement with the Pride of Place project - addressing graffiti vandalism in the area. Despite a few unexpected hurdles in the making of this film, they haven't been put off coming up with an entry to the National Inspiring Stories Film festival later in the year. Definitely watch this space!
Mosaics
The Garin College Vinnies have also started on their project of creating mosaics for a local park in Richmond as part of the Pride of Place project. Their mosaics are part of artwork done by various youth organisations in the area, getting the message out there that there is far better ways of getting your statement across without having to tag other people's property. Their mosaics reflect what being Vinnies is all about. Keep an eye out for their finished pieces!

Inspiring Stories
The Garin College Vinnies are this year stepping up to the challenge of making a movie about inspiring young Kiwi's leading change in their communities. On the 1 and 2 March two members from the Garin College Vinnies leadership team attended the Inspiring Stories Film-making Workshop. The workshop was an awesome opportunity to learn some of the tricks of the trade before launching into this 8 week project that will see a Vinnies film emerge that will be shown at a film festival in Wellington later in the year.
